Centre for Labour Research

The Centre for Labour Research is part of the Australian Institute for Social Research based at the University of Adelaide . It is a focal point for academic and applied research in the following areas:

  • employment and unemployment
  • education and training
  • demographic change, ageing and workforce development
  • social and economic development
  • social and economic inequality
  • public policy and the role of government
  • gender and restructuring
  • sustainability

The Centre provides strategic planning and consultative services to a wide range of industry, government, unions and community organisations.

The Centre specialises in:

  • public policy and labour market analysis;
  • industry and workplace surveys;
  • social surveys;
  • preparation of social, economic, industrial and employment strategies;
  • government budget analysis;
